Senior Leasing Consultant – Tour Guide

What you’ll do…

Under the direct supervision of the Leasing Team Manager, the Senior Leasing Consultant –Tour Guide is primarily responsible for leading tours of JSM Residential properties, especially when there is a high volume of showings. Additionally, this position will assist with the completion of daily Residential leasing operations and customer service activities. The essential functions of this position are listed below:

  • Leads and conducts daily apartment tours, especially during open leasing season. Travels throughout the community to meet tour parties, prepares materials for apartment tours, conducts the tour, and relays information from the tour to the Residential Team.
  • Knowledgeable on current sales, promotions, amenities, and renovations to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Work collaboratively and strategically with the Residential team to achieve sales goals.
  • Trains full-time and part-time Residential Staff on apartment tours and tour procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Residential team members to execute leasing operations. May include scheduling appointments, key creation and disbursement, lease preparation, lease signing and execution, subleasing, filing, etc.
  • Assist with the completion of customer service-related activities. May include warmly greeting and professionally addressing customers and visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to questions and inquiries via email.
  • Ensure properties and leases are accurately and professionally presented as the primary point of contact. Maintain compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
  • Track and maintain all leasing and sales related information and reports. Assist with analyzing data and providing feedback as directed by the Leasing Team Manager.
  • Assist the Leasing Team Manager with seasonal department projects. Some examples may include checking room vacancies during turnover, key check in during move-in, etc.
  • Assist the Leasing Team Manager with the supervision of JSM Residential part-time staff by leading their on-the-job training, delegating projects, and answering their questions.
  • Provide support to the Account Manager by preparing the daily residential payments

What you’ll bring…

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2 years of relevant sales and customer service experience, a valid driver’s license, excellent skills in written and verbal communication, professionalism as it relates to attitude, appearance, attire, and language, able to work independently and quickly in a multi-task environment.

Our Senior Leasing Consultants must be reliable, people-oriented, well-organized, and attentive to detail. Candidates must be comfortable with entering occupied units for tours. Candidates who have demonstrated the ability to understand and comply with applicable Fair Housing Laws are preferred.

This position is required to work weekends based on part-time staffing and seasonal requirements.

Hourly wage will be based on prior experience and will include full benefits (paid vacation and holidays, 401(k), health/dental/life/vision insurance, etc.). In addition to their base pay, our Senior Leasing Consultants are eligible to earn commissions!
