Full-Time Marketing Assistant

JSM is a vastly growing leasing and development firm hiring for a full-time Marketing Assistant located in Champaign, IL. Under direct supervision of the Senior Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Assistant will assist with the development, management and oversight of certain Marketing functions. These essential functions are listed below.

Online Marketing 

  • Assist with coordinating all social media efforts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.)

  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of all digital marketing campaigns (Facebook, Google Analytics, Instagram, etc.)

  • Manage JSM email blasts to residential tenants on the VIP Program, upcoming events, etc.

Public Relations 

  • Assist with oversight of the JSM brand while responding accordingly to issues that arise 

  • Implement and coordinate the scheduling of current and upcoming marketing events (kiosk events, open houses, Greek dinner announcements, quad events, etc.)

  • Represent JSM in various community organizations, if applicable

Photography, Videography, and Graphic Design

  • Assist with design and print production of all graphic design materials (flyers, posters, ads, fleet vehicles, marketing sheets, etc.)

  • Represent JSM with the output of photography and videography

Strategic Planning and Branding 

  • Develop and recommend strategies related to marketing the JSM brand

  • Assist the JSM Residential and Commercial Departments with general marketing and advertising efforts

  • Assist with the JSM VIP Program and the program’s marketing to VIP cardholders

  • Assist with the oversight of JSM building specific and competitor marketing efforts through repetitive field study

Minimum qualifications requested of this position include: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in professional marketing, excellent skills in written and verbal communication, valid Illinois driver's license, and the ability to work independently and under pressure in a multi-task environment. In addition, candidates should have experience with social media marketing and strategy, digital marketing, photography (Lightroom), graphic design (Adobe Illustrator), and basic video production experience (Canon DSLR camera, audio equiptment, and lighting, as well as Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro).

Director of Commercial Real Estate

Reporting to the JSM Managing Partners, the Director of Commercial Real Estate is an executive level role with primary oversight over all commercial leasing operations. The success of JSM Commercial is contingent upon the Director of Commercial Real Estate’s ability to research, strategize, and develop the commercial portfolio as well as provide the highest level of customer support and satisfaction, serving as the main point of contact with our tenants and within the community. As the leader of the Commercial Department, the Director of Commercial Real Estate is expected to ensure the viability of all JSM commercial operations. This includes but is not limited to performing the essential responsibilities below:

  • Manage all commercial leasing and marketing efforts

  • Manage and administer all commercial lease operations

  • Identify and develop new commercial tenant leads

  • Serve as the principal point of contact for ongoing development relationships and public outreach (e.g. University of Illinois, City of Champaign, City of Urbana, etc.)

  • Serve as the principal point of contact for commercial tenants

  • Resolve questions and concerns quickly, positively, and effectively

  • Personify and uphold the JSM brand

Minimum qualifications requested of this position include:

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or another relevant field of study

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional Business Administration, Commercial Real Estate, or relationship management experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication

  • Must maintain a professional attitude, appearance, attire, and language

  • Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure in a multi-task environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Must have a working knowledge of financial statement preparation, payroll, and accounts payable

  • People-oriented

  • Knowledge of relevant code requirements and applicable laws

  • Valid Illinois driver’s license

  • Demonstrated ability to delegate, train, and supervise others

The Director of Commercial Real Estate must possess a valid Illinois driver's license. Salary will be based on prior experience and will include full benefits (paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) with an employer matching contribution, health/dental/vision insurance, etc.)

Part-Time Leasing Agent

Looking for a part-time position to explore your interest in a Real Estate or Property Management career? This may be the opportunity you are searching for! JSM is a vastly growing leasing and development firm hiring for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Part- Time Leasing Agent who is able to multi task and has great communication and sales skills!

Under direct supervision of the Leasing Manager, the Part- Time Leasing Agent will represent JSM in a professional manner and be a primary point person to aid in the completion of all daily Residential leasing operations. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling appointments for prospective tenants, taking prospective tenants on tours, selling the apartment, and following up after the sale. Part-time Leasing Agents also field incoming calls and assist tenants as they arrive at the office. Our Leasing Agents are routinely involved with a customer's first interaction with JSM. Due to this, it is our expectation that they provide the highest level of customer support!

In addition to a base hourly rate of pay, our Leasing Agents can earn supplemental compensation in the form of commissions and incentives! Ideal candidates will have Saturday availability and may be able to work as many as 30 hours per week.
