JSM is very proud of our prompt and courteous maintenance staff. If you have an issue with your apartment, you are in good hands. Submitting a maintenance request is quick and easy. Here are some tips and tricks for when you have to submit a maintenance request.
Try to Fix Smaller Things on Your Own
Don’t submit a maintenance request unless it is absolutely necessary. Try to fix things less serious things on your own. Things like plunging your toilets, resetting your circuit breakers, and resetting your garbage disposal are things that you don’t need to request maintenance to come and do for you. Report It as Soon as You Notice It
If it is not something that you can fix on your own, make sure that you are submitting your maintenance request as soon as possible so that the issue does not become worse. For emergency maintenance requests you can call the JSM office at 217-359-6108. For less urgent maintenance requests you can visit jsmliving.com and click the “request maintenance” button which can be found under the "contact" tab at the top of the page, or you can click on the button below!
Be as Specific as Possible
When you call the JSM office or submit your request online, make sure that you are giving as many details as you can. You want to make sure that the issue that you are having is addressed and fixed, so it is good to give a lot of information regarding the problem.
