University of Illinois Arboretum
Just South of Florida Avenue Residence Halls, the University of Illinois Arboretum is free to the public and includes several parks and ponds. The Noel Welcome Garden features benches and a pergola surrounded by crabapple trees and floral landscaping, providing a perfect place to study while experiencing the garden’s beauty.
Carle Park
Urbana’s third oldest park occupies 11 acres and includes a pavilion, open fields, and paved paths, making it a great place to kick back and get your work done. When you need a study break, you can explore the Hickman Tree Walk, which features the largest English Oak tree in Illinois, or check out the “Lincoln the Lawyer” statue.
Meadowbrook Park

This scenic Champaign park sits on 22 acres, giving you more than enough space to spread out and study. The park features a perimeter trail with several benches and over 25 species of trees, providing the freedom to choose your ideal study spot.
