Sometimes a lunch is just there to get you through the afternoon. And then there are the ones you look forward to all morning. When you’re craving the latter, Pokelab is waiting at 605 S 6th Street in Champaign, a locally owned spot right in the heart of Campustown and an easy stop between classes.
The menu is all about fresh Hawaiian poke bowls, made to order. Build your own by picking a protein, whether that’s salmon, tuna, tofu or something else entirely, then piling on fresh veggies and toppings until it looks just right. Or go with a signature bowl like the Salmon Lover, the Tuna Lover, or the Poke Deluxe, each loaded with fresh fish, crisp vegetables, and house sauces over seasoned rice. It’s light, it’s satisfying, and it’s easily one of the most colorful meals you’ll eat all week.
Pokelab is open every day from 11 AM to 9:30 PM, so it works for a quick lunch, a post-lab dinner, or a late night study session. And planning something bigger? Pokelab handles group orders and events too, which makes the next club meeting or floor dinner a whole lot tastier.
JSM Living residents get $2 off any bowl purchase at Pokelab through the JSM VIP Program, with no minimum purchase required. To redeem, just show your current JSM VIP Card in-person at checkout or pull up the perk in the Community Rewards app.
